When we say we’re a “self-made” roofing and exterior renovation contractor, we mean it in every sense of the word.
We started in 1990 (a looong time ago) when a family friend suggested to founder and owner Chuck Anania go into the roofing business. This friend turned to Chuck because he needed the MOST reliable, honest, and hardworking person he could find… and Chuck easily checked all of those boxes, even as an 18-year-old young man.
Despite not having any previous history in roofing, Chuck quickly adapted to it, learning the ins and outs of the industry.
But an unfortunate double-edged sword to getting into the roofing industry? Seeing the seemingly endless list of bad practices other North Jersey roofers made habitual.
Practices like improper training and poor installation techniques that only caused major problems for homeowners down the line.
Given how Chuck was, and still is, a person of the highest integrity and doing any job he’s ever been given ABOVE expectation – he refused to be an average or sub-par contractor.
Coming from the mindset that “life will give you what you accept,” he started educating himself on all things roofing and restoration – the best products, the best installation techniques, and hiring the right people for his team.
